Labour Law for the Occupational health Worker
Workers with injuries or disabilities rely on Occupational Health care specialists to understand the Labour legislation in order to help them return to their rightful positions. This can be tricky in some cases and so this course aims to equip OTs especially, with a step by step guide for grasping and applying the law quickly and necessary to insure the rights of injured or disabled clients are not compromised when going back to work.
Labour Law for the Occupational health Worker is a theoretical examination to guide you to a thorough understanding of various South African Labour Law principles relating to labour relations act, basic conditions of employment act, employment equity act, skills development act and the employment service act. The question of how occupational healthcare workers understand and apply Labour Law knowledge to better assist patients in the work place will also be discussed.
This Course is designed with Occupational Therapists in mind. It is focused on getting practising OTs proficiently familiar with the South African labour legislation making you as an OT far more confidently of expertly making recommendations within the legal framework.
